Homemade Dog Treats

Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Dog Treats
via Will Cook For Friends

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. If the batter feels sticky, add a little more flour. Roll the batter out on a floury surface with a wooden rolling pin until it’s about 1/4″ think. Either use a cookie cutter or cut the batter into small squares or strips. Using a fork, indent the top of each cookie to allow it to breathe. Bake cookies for 15-20 minutes until it’s the consistency you like – crunchy or chewy. Caution: cookies will be hot! Let cool before giving one to your dog.

Mila definitely has a new favorite treat. As you can see from the last photo, trying to get her to be still and not attack the plate of cookies was a challenge. She loved them and I love that I know exactly what’s in them and that they are good for her.
