Fast Fix: Upgrade Your Bathroom

BathroomFix

I’ve seen many outdated bathrooms that are just screaming for someone to bring them back to life. You might think that upgrading your bathroom will cost you hundreds of dollars. But the truth is, it’s not near as expensive as you think. I’m not talking about a complete renovation, but freshening up what you already have.

The #1 thing you can do for your bathroom is PAINT. Paint is the cheapest way to upgrade any space, for that matter. Before purchasing anything, slap a coat of paint on your cabinets and walls, pick up a few contemporary drawer pulls, and watch how quickly it is transformed. Check out this tutorial for painting cabinets.

However, if you need a little more help, there are many things you can do at a low cost that can greatly enhance your bathroom and will make a huge impression. I based this budget on a two-sink configuration, so for a single sink configuration it would be a lot cheaper. All items and prices came from homedepot.com.

Every bathroom is different, so do what works best for you, your style, and your budget. For example, if you don’t have room for baskets add floating shelves ($16/ea.) or an over-the-toilet space saver ($99).

See? Not too bad, right?
