I like simple. If there’s a simple way of doing something then I’m all about it. When it comes to styling tables, fireplace, and dressers, there are simple ways of making them look good while also being functional. Remember my number one rule: function over form. It can look good all day, but if it doesn’t work it’s simply useless.
So on this rainy Good Friday, I thought I’d share a trick about coffee tables with you. I think you’re going to love it!
Not on how to pick one out, but how to style the one you’ve got. I’ve done a lot of research on this, people, and I have come to the conclusion that you only really need four major items to make your coffee table look chic and fabulous. The best part about it is, is that you probably already have these items! No need to spend money! I told y’all I like simple.
You’ll need:
– a stack of books
– something fresh
– a tray
– an architectural object
(Slipcover on the way and then you guys won’t have to stare at my hideous sofa any longer!)
See how simple that was! Take a look at your coffee table. Do you have the majority of these items? If not go shopping in your own home and pull some of your favorites out. Pick books and objects that mean something to you that way when your guests ask you, “So why do you have this rusty iron thing?” You can say, “It’s a railroad tie from my grandfather’s barn.”
Bam.
Stay dry and have a Happy Easter weekend!
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies.”
