My sweet and oh, so tasteful friend, Jaime (On Miami Time), shared these with me today. They are dinner napkins that resemble paint chips. At a steal of $75.00, you can have a colorful dinner setting just in time for summer.

Six Years!

JLM

Today marks six years of having the honor to walk through life this sweet boy every day. He’s been my best friend and biggest supporter. He encourages me to be a better person and does not let me settle for less than I deserve.

Styling Your Coffee Table

I like simple. If there’s a simple way of doing something then I’m all about it. When it comes to styling tables, fireplace, and dressers, there are simple ways of making them look good while also being functional. Remember my number one rule: function over form. It can look good all day, but if it doesn’t work it’s simply useless.

So on this rainy Good Friday, I thought I’d share a trick about coffee tables with you. I think you’re going to love it!

Not on how to pick one out, but how to style the one you’ve got. I’ve done a lot of research on this, people, and I have come to the conclusion that you only really need four major items to make your coffee table look chic and fabulous. The best part about it is, is that you probably already have these items! No need to spend money! I told y’all I like simple.

You’ll need:

– a stack of books
– something fresh
– a tray
– an architectural object

(Slipcover on the way and then you guys won’t have to stare at my hideous sofa any longer!)

See how simple that was! Take a look at your coffee table. Do you have the majority of these items? If not go shopping in your own home and pull some of your favorites out. Pick books and objects that mean something to you that way when your guests ask you, “So why do you have this rusty iron thing?” You can say, “It’s a railroad tie from my grandfather’s barn.”

Bam.

Stay dry and have a Happy Easter weekend!

Book quote

Feeling graphicy this afternoon.

This is a quote from the book, “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green. It’s definitely one of my favorite books and one of my favorite quotes. I can’t wait for the movie to come out!

Really Cute Mod-Podge Letters

ModgePodgeTitle

So I love to mod-podge things. That’s an understatement. I’m slightly obsessed. It’s a cheap, quick, and relaxing craft that you can do anywhere. It’s also a great way to add a pop of color.

So I picked an “N” and “J” for obvious reasons and I found this adorable paper pack, with the blues and yellows I’m currently lavishing over, at Hobby Lobby 50%, so heck yeah to that. There’s no need for a tutorial; it’s pretty self explanatory. What I will suggest is using a foam brush; it keeps you from wasting a whole bunch.

I have no clue what I’m going to do with them yet; i.e. they’ll probably stay right here in this basket.

What have you mod-podged lately?
